This event is the perfect blend of competition and community — whether you’re a seasoned competitor or just stepping into tournament archery, the Outdoor 600 is your opportunity to put your skills to the test, connect with fellow archers from across the state, and bring home a trophy.

The round will consist of 4 ends of 5 arrows shot at 3 distances, beginning with the closest distance.
-
4 minutes are allowed for each end.
-
The target will be the 6-ring center spot of the 92 cm target face (gold–red–blue, 10 through 6 scoring).
-
The X-ring will be used as a tiebreaker.

-
Young Adult / Adult / Senior: 40, 50, 60 yards
Divisions & Awards
-
Participants may enter one division and category.
-
You will remain in the same division for the entire tournament.
-
Medals will be awarded to the top 3 in each class with 10+ entries (1st place only if fewer than 10 entries).
Shooting Rules – Outdoor 600
-
Each end will consist of 5 arrows in 4 minutes.
-
Archers shooting first will shoot the lower target face positions.
-
An archer shooting before the whistle signaling the start of the end, or after time has expired, will lose their highest scoring arrow(s) equal to the number of errant arrows shot.
-
If more than 5 arrows are shot during an end, only the lowest 5 arrows will be scored. A penalty of one point and one X (if applicable) will also be assessed for each additional arrow shot. Misses or zeros will be counted as the lowest arrows.
-
If an archer shoots fewer than 5 arrows in one end and retires from the line, they may complete the end only if the omission is discovered before the line has been cleared; otherwise, the missing arrows will be scored as misses.
-
An archer who purposely disfigures a target face to improve aiming or for any other reason may be disqualified. Arrow holes may be repaired, provided there is no delay to the round.
-
Any archer who conducts themselves in an unsportsmanlike manner will be immediately disqualified and removed from the tournament site.
-
Equipment Regulations:
-
Peak compound bow draw weight must not exceed 80 lbs.
-
The maximum arrow shaft diameter allowed is 0.422 inches, with the point diameter not to exceed 0.425 inches. This includes wraps, nocks, and nock adapters.
-
If the wrap, nock, or insert exceeds 0.422 inches and is embedded in the scoring area, the arrow will not be scored and must be re-shot.
-
-
Hearing & Safety:
-
Any equipment that impairs hearing (e.g., electronic communication devices, headsets, noise reduction devices) is not allowed on the shooting line.
-
Hearing-impaired archers must notify officials before shooting.

-
Arrow Handling:
-
Arrow twirling is permitted if not disruptive or dangerous. Officials may issue warnings and remove an archer for repeated violations.

Target pins cannot be larger than 1.5 inches in any dimension from the target face surface.
-
Archers are encouraged to bring their own target pins. Tournament pins will be available and must remain at the bale.
-
-

All protests must be submitted in writing to the Tournament Director within one hour of the conclusion of the round where the incident occurred, accompanied by $50 USD. The Tournament Committee will convene approximately 1 hour after the last scoring end to decide the outcome of each protest. All decisions of the Tournament Rules Committee will be final. The $50 protest fee will be returned if the Tournament Rules Committee rules in favor of the protest. No protests are allowed during shoot offs, judges decisions are final.Equipment Failure:
In the event of equipment failure, step back from the shooting line and raise your bow above your head. A judge will come to your assistance. The archer will have 15 minutes of repair time without holding up the tournament. One practice end will be allowed. The archer shall be allowed to shoot any arrows missed during the 15 minutes.
